Celebrating Women in Construction: Spotlight on Amanda Salinas and Randi Walters

Each year during Women in Construction Week, the construction industry takes time to recognize the women whose expertise, leadership, and dedication help shape the built environment around us.
At Element13 Facades, we are proud to work alongside talented professionals who bring deep industry knowledge, strong leadership, and a passion for construction to every project. This week, we’re highlighting two members of our team whose careers and contributions represent the strength and diversity of the construction industry: Amanda Salinas, Project Engineer, and Randi Walters, SSP Manager.

Amanda Salinas — Project Engineer
Amanda Salinas brings nearly two decades of experience in the glazing industry to her role at Element13 Facades. Her journey into construction began with a strong foundation in both fine art and pre-architecture studies at Abilene Christian University, giving her a unique perspective that blends creativity with technical precision.
Amanda entered the glazing industry in 2006, starting her career at Vistawall (now Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope) as an engineering technician. Over the years, she gained valuable experience working with respected companies across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including Jenning’s Glass, Trainor Glass, TEPCO, B&B Glass, and Alliance Glazing Technologies.
Throughout her career, Amanda has worked alongside some of the industry’s most knowledgeable mentors, learning the key factors that drive successful construction projects—from coordination and planning to execution and problem solving. Her experience also includes running her own company, A.C. Glazing Services, where she provided critical internal operations support to glass and glazing subcontractors.
Today, Amanda brings that deep technical background and operational insight to the Element13 team, helping ensure projects run smoothly from concept through completion.
Outside of work, Amanda and her husband Rey enjoy life outdoors at the lake. Whether it’s fishing, boating, kayaking, camping, or simply spending time around a bonfire, she enjoys making the most of every moment. Her favorite people in the world are her niece and nephew, Lilly and Jaxon.
Amanda’s career reflects the passion, dedication, and craftsmanship that women bring to the construction industry every day.

Randi Walters — SSP Manager
Randi Walters’ connection to the glazing industry began early. She first stepped into the field in 1992, working summers at Elward Construction while still in high school and continuing through college.
Originally pursuing a degree in Broadcasting, Randi soon realized construction was more than just a summer job—it was a career path deeply rooted in her family history. Inspired by both her father and grandfather, she decided to pursue a long-term career in the glazing industry.
Over the years, Randi has developed a well-rounded background that spans nearly every aspect of the business. Her experience includes front office administration, fabrication, production management, retail, estimating, safety management, and project management, giving her a unique understanding of how projects move from concept to completion.
She has worked with several respected glazing organizations throughout her career, including Elward Construction, A-1 Glass, Alliance Glazing Technologies, 8G Solutions, and now Element13 Facades.
In Summer 2024, Randi rejoined Element13 as the Service / Special Project Manager, bringing decades of experience and industry insight to the team.
Outside the office, Randi enjoys exploring her creative side through crafting and spending quality time with her family.
Her career is a powerful example of how women continue to shape and strengthen the construction industry through experience, leadership, and dedication.
Building the Future Together
Women have always played an important role in construction, and their contributions continue to grow across every discipline—from engineering and project management to fabrication, leadership, and field operations.
At Element13 Facades, we are proud to celebrate the talented professionals who help deliver exceptional results for our clients every day.
During Women in Construction Week, we recognize Amanda, Randi, and all the women across the industry whose expertise, resilience, and commitment help move construction forward.
When Glass Door Problems Can't Wait Contact Element13
Your building's glass front entrance doors handle hundreds of entries daily. When they fail, have cracked glass, broken closers, or hardware that won't engage, it's not just inconvenient, it's a security risk. Property managers and general contractors know that entrance problems reflect poorly on the entire building and create liability concerns.
